Individual Therapy for Mothers
& Parents
Becoming a mother is one of the most transformative life experiences a women will go through, yet as a society we are not well set up to support women through this journey. I provide confidential, evidence-based and respective therapy to help women and mothers make sense of the changes they experience.
This may be antenatal or postpartum anxiety, excessive worry, depression, adjustment difficulties, obsessions, compulsions or intrusive thoughts, miscarriage, baby loss, post-traumatic stress disorder and birth trauma.
I also support women through their matrescence journey towards personal growth and well-being. It is common for mothers to feel a little lost as a new mother identity emerges.

Session Information
What to expect from therapy?
Therapy sessions are very individual and unique. I work with clients to develop an understanding of the key difficulties they are facing, what might be contributing to and maintaining those difficulties and strategies to overcome those difficulties.
Clients are the experts in their lives and I have knowledge in psychology and current research which together we can use to work collaboratively to make a plan that will be most helpful for them. Clients work towards not only having strategies to support them but a greater understanding about themselves and how to approach and problem-solve future difficulties.
A useful website to support those who have experienced a miscarriage is Miscarriage Matters New Zealand.
